I am gonna need a computer under $600.
I want at least 1gb ram and a hard drive larger than 80gb. I am open to new/used/refurbished/a dog peed on it bad. All I care is that it works.

I would look at Fry's as they normally have large rebates on the computers and are tough to beat. Sales are always released on Wednesdays and another one released on Fridays. Go to www.frys.c0m (fix the 0 to o).

You ever get your computer?

If not then, I would skip fry's and tigerdirect as they insert a lot of refurb and re-shrinkwrap returns without telling you that is what you're buying.

Try Newegg instead and if you really want refurbs they have a section, I get a lot of refurbs from them and very few problems and their price for refurbs and new items is on par or even better than any other online retailer.

http://www.microcenter.com/ best if you go to store, sales people work on commission. i got $150 off my laptop because i was going to leave. they will just find an open box computer and you with still have the 30 return and standard 1 year warranty.
