what's wrong with rapidshare download??

In the last several day , i only reach a speed of 20kb/s in rs download??

but in another filehosting site, i have an normal speed.

What is going on , rapidshare??

any guy have the same problem??

i'm not permium account , Any solution ???

RS changed since 2nd of July. They restricted free downloaders to 60 KByte/s, filesize 200 MB, but you don't need to wait between downloads. Basically you can download nonstop allday at 200 MBytes/ hour. That's it.

The only reason I liked rapidshare was the speed.

its 2008 Q3 and you can only download at between 3 and 4 times the speed of dialup on rapidshare?

I think 400mb / hour would have been acceptable, but 200 is way way too little.

I've still got my premium account, so doesn't affect me .. but I'd be pissed if any other sites (e.g megaupload) started doing this as I don't have any other premium accounts.

As always, please use sharebee.com for uploads to support free downloaders !
(it mirrors it to several download sites, making reporting copyright infringement a 7 x lengthier more tricky process )

Rapidshare sucks anyway, people are just obsessed with getting 1 point towards their free premium to realize if everyone used FileFactory or even FileFront, or mediafire, all of which don't have limits, the world would be a better place.

Shame that it doesn't matter for me anymore, because my ISP limited downloads to 95gb./mo

I agree. I was a particular fan of FileFront for a while. But everyone's using Rapidshare, and if you can't beat em....well.

There's also more of an incentive for prospective uploaders because of the points, providing much more sharing and acts of kindness:)

I tell you, uploading an 800 MB file to filefront, having it downloaded a couple hundred times and having only a 25-1 ratio of people saying "Thanks" was....not as satisfying.

Now I don't care who says thanks, just as long as they're free users! :p

The download speed will remain at that level, i am downloading at 32 kb/s as a free user that is total BS.

They deleted the chapchas and the free user can now upload and download 200 mb at one time and you also don't have to wait to begin the second download,but they limited the dowload speed for the free user to 500 Kilobits per second.

rapidshare is a deceiver.
i still had to wait 50 second when i download thing

and i only have a speed of 50kb/s (only 10% of the speed it mention)
