Opinions? I've seen loads of comments from women in the press saying they don't like facial hair at all. I think it depends on the person, and some men do suit a beard (Brian Blessed, being the obvious choice, but I find he just looks wrong without one). I consider mine the closest I'll go to peacocking, I've never been able to get a decent shave anyway, and most of all I like it, but I'd like to see what other people say about it.

it depends a lot on the shape of your face the kind of features that you have and the styling you do to it. I'm currently sporting a goatee and I find that it gets a good response, actually, it depends on the age group of women, older ones don't like it as much as younger girls i dunno why but it happens....

Some guys look cooler with a beard. If you want to try it, make sure that the beard is rather short and clean. Long facial hair looks messy. A beard can easily look ridiculous, especially if boys grow a beard to look older. It also depends on your style. Think about facial hair as an accessory, you can wear a suit with a tailored shirt and communicate with your stubbles that you are not a deskjockey.
I normally have stubbles and only shave once or twice a week. Girls have told me that stubbles look better, but clean shaven feels better.

It really does depend on the shape of a person's face. Mostly, a weak chin begs for a little facial hair. This is where the phrase "less is more" has real meaning. Only grow enough to balance the face, and keep it trimmed.
The mustache alone look is out of fashion right now, as is the Don Johnson stubble look. Of course some guys look good with a 5 oclock shadow, but I've never met a woman who liked how it felt on her skin. A mustache and goatee are a good starting point, soul patches or Mystery's below the chin whiskers are for a more extreme look. Long sideburns don't look good on many men, and the younger you are the less likely they work.
Never use facial hair to change the color of your face, that's what tans are for.
As with all things fashion it's what looks good on you that matters most. The most important thing to do is ask your hair stylist (if it's a woman or a gay guy) or even ask women at make-up counters what they think. Avoid asking people who you hang out with all the time, unless they have an impeccable fashion sense. Like cologne, it's the women you are after you have to appeal too, so what you think is a lesser concern.

No beard...a fuzz is ok for the rugged look though.

if you are doing it to impress the ladies, its all down to opinion really... some guys tend to have a very babyish face when clean shaven, therefore a more stubbled look works wonders. Just dont go too extreme with the facial hair designs; the more natural the better.

I know from personal experience that growing a beard has worked wonders for me. It depends totally on the girl though I think some girls just dig the facial hair a lot and others hate it. I have been getting compliments on my beard from guys and girls so I guess it just really suits my face.
I had however tried growing a goatee type thing before which just didn't really work. I would recommend just experimenting and asking opinions.

Hmmm guys.
For me, facial hair is a no no!
A beard and mustache is a def NO!!!
Iv had it and when making out with a girl it often can cause rash / irritation on her upper lip. When going down on a girl you dont want to cause this either. Ask the ladies.

lol, some guys aren't so lucky. We have no option but to have stubble because our hair is so thick and grows so fast.
ex. After a close shave my stubble is back within around 4 hours and a very short all over beard within 16 hours or so.
The other problem with hair such as this is that you cannot shave every day because the hair is so sharp it grows back into the skin and causes barbers rash/ shavers rash.
What hope do we have? Well you just have to go with the stubble or a beard. However, you can also get a professional shave (cost about £30) which will give you the best shave of your life.
I personally go with a well trimmed stubble, shaved every 3rd day, clean off. Now if I could only get my balding head sorted out!!
